From a very young age, Teddy has exhibited excitement for golf in every way possible, remarks PGA Director of Instruction Jeff Henry. Teddy has participated in the Clubs junior golf program, Road Strope Trip development classes, PGA Jr. League, U.S. Kids Golf Junior Tour events and basically any junior golf program for which he is eligible.Jeff is proud of Teddys initiative to practice and work on his game even when weather conditions and temperatures would keep anyone else off the course. The future is bright for Teddy!By way of Betsy, LOOK asked Teddy these questions:Parents: When did you first become interested in playing golf?Nick & Betsy Strope Ive been interested in golf as long as I can remember, but I started getting serious about playing around three years ago.14 years old What are your best memories from the junior golf program?8 thgrade, I remember how fun it was to pile on the golf carts when the pros Scott Middle School would take us out to practice. It was fun competing with my friends and I really liked my last year in 2024 when I was one of the oldest kids.One sister,Payton, 16 Tell us about competing in Club and local/regional tournaments.I like that I get to play against my friends from school in local and Favorite pro: regional tournaments. We are going to have a competitive class in Justin Thomas high school.Current tournament action?I dont play in PGA Jr. League anymore. I play in weekly tournaments through NJG in the summer and U.S. Kids Golf in the spring and fall. Im hoping to join the AJGA next spring and start earning stars and status for tournaments.What about the SideKicks junior member-guest event? I played in Sidekicks the last two years. It was super fun because the first year my partner, Leo, and I won! Do you take individual lessons from one of the CCL pros? Best advice/lesson?I started talking lessons from Al Peterson when I was little. One winter, Jeff did a winter clinic in the simulator that was helpful, and I currently work with Mark Foelbaek. I also have a coach outside of CCL. I spend a lot of time on the range and cant wait for the course to open again.You mentioned high school golf will be competitive. Any aspirations beyond that?I will play golf in high school, and although it is far out, I would like to play Division I college golf and, one day, professional golf. 26'
